Social Tennis

Bundoora Tennis Club has a committed group of social tennis players who have been playing on Saturday afternoons at the club for well over 20 years.

Typically occupying two courts, with 8-12 players attending on a regular basis, they play a friendly game of men’s and mixed doubles tennis starting at about 12.30pm. Generally middle aged, what they lack in speed and skill they make up for in enthusiasm. The day’s play is always punctuated by afternoon tea at 3pm involving some cakes, tea/coffee, a friendly chat and a welcome rest.

New players who have played some tennis before and have mastered the basics are welcome.

Tennis balls are supplied every week and regular players are asked to contribute $3 (this fee includes a contribution towards the provision of new balls and the social players’ annual Christmas and mid-year functions).
